Our history

East London has long been home to Britain’s manufacturing and creative industries. Staying innovative, yet efficient, is a trait which runs through the very heart of the area, and our hotel is no exception. The industrious building was previously home to a textile manufacturing company – a family business run by five brothers,
which now operates internationally. Inspired by these entrepreneurial brothers, we have retained the mindset of keeping things simple
so as to focus on the special touches.

The Whitechapel sits in the heart of London’s East End – a vibrant area where a diverse community lives and works. Our hotel is just minutes from the district’s leading attractions, such as Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market, The Tower of London, The Design Museum and, on weekends, Columbia Road’s beautiful flower market. Furthermore,
we are opposite Barts and The London hospitals, making us an ideal choice for travelling medics, or those visiting family. Moreover, with a constant flow of buses and underground trains only meters away, you can be shopping on Oxford Street or seeing a show in Covent Garden within half an hour.
